WHAT WE DO
We regenerate the territory through collective action.
We work as a network on projects that connect the care of the land, the sea and local communities.
We support agricultural transitions, marine actions, environmental education and ecological restoration.
A drop of water crosses the island, connecting mountains, aquifers, farmlands and underwater seagrass meadows.
This cycle is life and memory.
The Alliance works to restore this broken flow, regenerating Mallorca as a living bioregion.

AGROECOLOGICAL
REGENERATION
- Restore and regenerate terrestrial and marine ecosystems, improving biodiversity and ecological connectivity.
- Recover the agroforestry mosaic and promote regenerative agricultural practices.
- Reduce the negative impacts of human activity by safeguarding water health, reducing soil erosion and lowering environmental pollution.
- Expand and reinforce marine protection and ensure the quality of coastal waters.
- Prevent biodiversity loss and support the recovery of endangered species and their habitats.
PROJECTS
Carronyaires
Scavenger Birds Programme
A historic programme led by FVSM to conserve and monitor vultures and other scavenger species. It includes population monitoring, controlled feeding points, and the protection of breeding colonies. The project also works with farmers to reduce the use of poisons and promote coexistence with wildlife. It has a strong educational component, offering activities for schools and visitors. This programme has been essential for the recovery of the black vulture — a species endangered at the European level — and stands as a success story of conservation and community collaboration.
Marine Corners
An education and awareness-raising project about Mallorca’s marine environments. It offers outreach activities to showcase marine biodiversity and the challenges of its conservation. It connects coastal communities with the natural heritage around them. Using visual and immersive tools, it brings the sea closer to citizens and promotes marine stewardship through community participation. It also includes school programmes and pedagogical activities. It helps build collective awareness of the importance of protecting the sea.
Torrent de Matzoc
Located in the Llevant Natural Park, this torrent drains directly into the marine reserve.
The project seeks to restore ecological continuity in the watershed and reduce erosion and sediment flow into the sea.
It includes small water retention infrastructures and sustainable forest management.
Regenerative agriculture is promoted on nearby farms, and traditional dry-stone terraces and paths are restored.
The marine dimension focuses on reducing pollution affecting Posidonia meadows.
Local entities, scientists and community volunteers take part.
The project is conceived as a replicable model for other catchments across Mallorca.
Regenerative Agriculture at Son Moragues
A pioneering project in the Serra de Tramuntana to implement regenerative practices in a historic estate. Work includes improving soil health, diversifying crops, and applying sustainable water management. Agroforestry and permaculture techniques are introduced to restore the agroforestry mosaic. The estate hosts research and training activities and connects regenerative production with local markets. A replicable model for other farms in the Tramuntana region.
Ariant
Ariant Biological Reserve
A 1,000-hectare reserve managed by FVSM, located in the Tramuntana Mountains, with 7 km of pristine coastline and high ecological value. It conserves key species such as the black vulture, housing one of the island’s most important breeding colonies. Ariant integrates ecological forest management, extensive livestock farming, research projects and education. It preserves the cultural and architectural heritage of the estate. A benchmark in land stewardship and responsible ecotourism — a unique space where nature, culture and community coexist.
Blue Pilot Project
An initiative to strengthen marine protection frameworks in the island’s northeast. It combines scientific research, biodiversity monitoring and participatory processes with local communities. The project has established Posidonia restoration stations in key areas such as Cala Murta. Governance forums involve fishers, public administration and citizens. The initiative also supports farms transitioning to regenerative practices to reduce marine pollution. It includes innovative pilot projects for nature-based wastewater treatment. With a strong educational dimension, it offers workshops and awareness campaigns. A flagship project that exemplifies the land–sea connection.
02.
COMMUNITY & GOVERNANCE
- Strengthen social cohesion and community participation in territorial management.
- Contribute to building a shared and transparent governance model for collective decision-making.
- Promote a culture of care, inclusivity and intersectionality, fostering feminist, antiracist and intergenerational values.
- Enhance society’s critical and transformative capacity by providing tools and knowledge that empower local communities.
PROJECTS
Regenera Deià
A community-driven project born in Deià to regenerate both the territory and its social fabric. It promotes citizen participation in the management of natural and cultural spaces and combines ecological restoration with social programmes. Activities include workshops, cultural events and collaborative initiatives that reinforce local identity and belonging. It stimulates cooperation among local organisations, residents and visitors. An example of bottom-up bioregional regeneration aligned with the Alliance’s vision.
Permaculture Training Programme
A program dedicated to providing training and capacity building to people, entities and communities. It is focused on providing tools and knowledge to face the eco-social transition. It includes courses in agroecology, water cycle regeneration, appropriate technology, bioconstruction, holistic design and participatory management. It also offers meeting spaces to share experiences and good practices. The program promotes local empowerment and social cohesion. It is a commitment to building long-term capacities within the Alliance. It contributes to consolidating shared governance and a culture of care.
Ecoregió de la Serra de Tramuntana (Tramuntana XXI)
A participatory process involving farmers, landowners, businesses and civil society in the Tramuntana Mountains. Its aim is to build a collaborative strategy to manage local resources and boost local product value chains. Activities include training workshops, interviews, meetings with key actors and community surveys. It also works on marketing agro-food and forestry products and reactivating abandoned estates. The initiative fosters shared governance between civil society and institutions. It aims to serve as a model for other regions of Mallorca.
03.
REGENERATIVE ECONOMY
- Promote an economy that respects territorial limits and actively regenerates ecosystems.
- Strengthen a resilient primary sector based on agroecology, extensive livestock farming, agroforestry and artisanal fisheries.
- Foster food sovereignty and reduce dependence on external inputs.
- Support the development of regenerative business models.
PROJECTS
Eco Food Hub
A future project conceived as a reference facility for aggregation, logistics, transformation and distribution of Mallorca’s agroecological production. It would be a multipurpose building with processing areas for vegetable preserves, oil and other products. It would host an organic agri-shop, a tasting area, training rooms and an experimental farm. Its aim is to strengthen local value chains and support producers across the island.
Feeding the Future Network
A platform transforming school canteens into spaces of health and sustainability. It brings together local producers, catering companies and families to promote fresh, fair, locally sourced menus. Includes training workshops for educators and producers. Promotes food sovereignty, reduces dependence on external markets, and creates stable collaborations between schools and communities. A replicable model for other regions.
